Session II: Trust Me – Your Irrevocable Trust Can Be Modified Without Going to Court
The meaning of “irrevocable” has evolved considerably over the last decade. This session will provide guidance on the various nonjudicial tools that are available to resolve problems with trusts, including nonjudicial modifications, nonjudicial settlement agreements, and decanting. The panelists will discuss specific examples of tax and non-tax trust problems that can be fixed with the appropriate tool and issues that arise in concepts such as virtual representation.
