Attend this session for an overview and A - Z review of what you need to know about your client’s collection of tangibles. This will include valuation considerations, types of valuations, determinants of value, red flags and areas of concern (such as cultural property, restitution and authenticity.) Using recent and relevant decisions in the courts, the panel will cover technical and legal planning suggestions and ways to plan with your client’s art assets. The panel will discuss options to monetize a collection, including art lending, auction and private sale options as well how to navigate agreements and the sale process.
