To Trust or Not to Trust: That is the Question
Our host City of New Orleans has many international aspects including its historical tie to the civil law from Europe. In fact, the Louisiana Civil Code was modeled after the Napoleonic Code from France. The speakers will explore ways in which the civil law approach to trusts is different than the common law and consider alternatives to trusts that are currently used in other jurisdictions.
